Women of Waterloo Region, WOW Awards

The 4th Annual WOW (Women of Waterloo Region) Recognition event was again, an inspiring evening. After a record number of nominees and some tough deliberations, SEVEN extraordinary women were honoured with a WOW Award on the evening of Wednesday, March 28, at the Waterloo Inn. The evening consisted of story sharing and support for great women who had a "WOW" effect on our community this year! What makes "WOW" unique is that each award recipient, in turn, chooses another individual to honour - someone who has made a profound impact on their life. This person also received an award as their "Guest of Honour." Congratulations to all WOW award recipients: Dr. Deepa Takhar for Entrepreneur, Jean Andrey for Education, Kim Jernigan for Creative Arts, Maud Gorbet for Technology & Science, Tracy Van Kalsbeek for Community Engagement, and Alison Fraser & Tana Nash for WOW factor. You definitely inspire us all! Visit www.snapkw.com to see video coverage of this event.
