For 2 years, members of the MacGregor School Council & Greening Committee have been working on the MacGregor School Greening Project. Their goal is to rectify & reduce site issues of noise, sun & wind and offer some protection for the students & staff. After receiving 3 large spaded trees last year, June 9th saw year 2 of the plan begin. Three more large caliper Silver Maples were planted in the MacGregor’s back field. The Greening Committee has received confirmation of $3,534.00 from the TD Friends of the Environment Program, $1500 from the Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds Program & $500 from the Tim Walker Memorial Fund. Pictured here is teacher Deb McCarter.
