KSA Olympic Dreams Dinner

Kitchener Sports Association's held a special dinner event recognizing local Olympic participants - past, present and future. Over 15 Olympians were in attendance including special guest speaker Sami Jo Small, goaltender for Canada's National Women's Hockey Team and a three time Olympic medalist (two golds). Attendees enjoyed complimentary photos taken with Sami Jo Small and Torch Bearer Pat Doherty with his famous 2010 Olympic Torch. Proceeds from the event were directed to the KSA Olympic Dreams program that provides funding to athletes who have the potential to compete for Canada at the Olympics. Currently, five young athletes are being funded for the 2010 and 2012 Olympics. Neil Aitchison, local icon, was Master of Ceremonies for the evening and brought his personable style and wit to enhance the fun aspect of the evening.
