Skills Canada Ontario 8th Annual Fundraising Dinner

Skills Canada - Ontario, a local not-for profit organization whose mandate is to promote skilled trades and technologies and viable, first choice career options to Ontario youth hosted their 8th annual Fundraising Dinner on March 3rd at the Delta Hotel. The special guest was Dr. Derrick Mueller, motivational speaker, leadership consultant, trainer, humorist, and author of “The Amaryllis Way-Growing Leaders Who Grow Leaders." Proceeds from this gala event went to support the Skills Canada – Ontario Bursary. This bursary provides financial support to students from Ontario competing at the Canadian Skills Competition. In addition, the bursary assists students participating in other Skills Canada – Ontario programs where costs may be a prohibitive factor. This year’s event also recognized the inductees into the Klaus Woerner Hall of Fame, for their outstanding contribution to the promotion of careers in the skilled trades and technologies sectors.
