Community Music as Cultural Capital

A new Master of Arts program in Community Music was announced by WLU on February 1st. As the first of its kind in North America, the university is very excited to offer a program that focuses on leadership skills in community music and that appeals to people with a wide range of interests. The day included keynote speaker Dr. Lee Higgins who is a world-renowned scholar and practitioner of community music, a public launch of the program, and a Choral Concert featuring singers from Laurier and the community.
